Obviously more powerful televisions exist, but this Philips has attracted my attention for the followings motives:
1) there are really so many interface: 3xHDMI (1.3), USB (1.1), CAM, Component Video, etc...
2) Firmware update by USB
3) MP3 and JPEG player by USB
4) Display 100Hz
5) Response Time: 4 ms
6) Support 1080p (24 Hz, 25 Hz, 30 Hz, 50 Hz, 60 Hz)
Before buying it, I have compared this TV with the model
42PFL9632D. The technical difference is the graphic processor (7862: "Pixel Plus 2", 9632: "Perfect Pixel") and ambilight effect but analyzing them in a megastore with a signal 1080P (film: "300") I didn't notice differences. The case is identical.
In conclusion: same quality, with small differences, but to more lower cost!!
Bye!
